I think I may have finally found it. A few years ago I was vacationing in Tropea, Italy and I was in desperate need of a haircut. Based on a recommendation at my Bed and Breakfast I found the barber posted below. After shaving my head down the barber asked me if I wanted a shave as well and I agreed. He went about giving me one of my most memorable moments ever – at least when it comes to grooming.

For some reason, until this week, I have managed to, unintentionally, avoid using the Turkish made Arko Shaving Soap Stick. Which really doesn’t make sense because the price is more than right, and the packaging is fantastic – visually anyways.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a tub of Taylor of Old Bond St. Grapefruit Shave Cream, along with a razor and blades for a friend of mine who is going to try wet shaving, after my insisting for nearly a year now (I suggested, the Edwin Jagger 89lbl along with some Astra blades) – in the box I was happy to find some free samples, one of them being the tiniest possible shave cream container of Geo F Trumper’s Rose Shave Cream (more on the diminutive container in a moment).
