Ever-Ready 1912 Vintage Single Edge Safety Razor Review

I received this Ever-Ready 1912 Vintage Single Edge Safety Razor from my cousin this past Christmas. She my name in our family gift exchange and apparently she knows me quite well because it really did make for great gift. Beyond the fact that it is another razor to add to my collection, it was a single edge razor, something that sadly has been lacking from my cabinet

Murker Futur Review

Without a doubt what makes the Murker Futur safety razor really stand out is its (as the name suggests) futuristic design. The smooth surface, and sleek lines, with substantial handle really helps separate this razor from any other that you may find in you shave cabinet. But aesthetics is only half the package. The ability to adjust the aggressiveness of the razor, much like the Progress, is the other element that really helps this razor stand out.

Merkur 1904 Classic Review

The Merkur 1904 classic was the first double edge razor that I have ever purchased and I never looked back. Many double edge razors later, I still find myself coming back to this little razor with the old style feel for a great shave. I will keep the criteria simple – in order to qualify the razor had to have cost less than five American dollars. Read more…

RazoRock Super Knurl DE Safety Razor

A while back I realized that the razor review section has been neglected somewhat and since then I have been picking up razors of all kinds – the Merkur Progress, the Black Standard, a bunch of discount razors from AliExpress that I am still waiting for, and the subject of today’s review the RazoRock Super Knurl DE Safety Razor from the Italian Barber – all in order to build it up.

Black Standard Razor Review

A couple of months back I picked up a Black Standard Razor from /r/shave_bazaar over on Reddit. I wasn’t really familiar with the razor and the price was right so I thought I would give it a try. It sat in my shave cabinet for some time, a victim of my new found love – the Merkur Progress – which has monopolized my shaving routine now for roughly the same amount of time that the Standard Razor has been in my possession.
