Edwin Jagger Limes & Pomegranate Shaving Soap Review

I think I may have made a mistake by choosing October to use Edwin Jagger’s Limes and Pomegranate Shaving Soap for the first time. It is very much a summer scented soap, which of course is not a bad thing unless you are struggling with the fact that another summer has come and gone and you can see another long winter on the horizon. The fact that I haven’t moved to a more temperate climate is beyond me because my hatred for winter is unmatched, but I haven’t yet, so here I am with a summer soap on the brink of winter.

All joking aside EJ Limes and Pomegranate shaving soap has a really a pleasant, fresh scent to it that really gives you a nice punch of lime with hints of pomegranate following it up.  There is a nice balance between the two scents and I didn’t find the overall scent too strong. It is a departure from traditional male scents, and it leaves a nice scent in your shave den.

There is nothing to complain about with the performance of the Limes and Pomegranate shave soap, I was using my Edwin Jagger Best Badger Brush (not on purpose, just what I happened to pick up this week) and it loaded up like a dream. Very easy to build a nice rich lather that provided a slick, cushioned surface and left my face feeling great.

To be honest I’m not sure how you could really improve on the Edwin Jagger Limes and Pomegranate shaving soap when it comes to performance – a comfortable, irritation free, leave my face feeling great is what we are all looking for in a soap.  I’m not sure I can say the same about the fragrance, whether it is a summer scent or not, some of you will love the combination while I’m sure others prefer the less fruity scents out there.

Have your say. Have you used this soap? What are your thoughts?
