Well is was bound to happen – getting what I paid for. A couple of months ago I started a new segment on TheCloseShave taking a look at discount razors. I would classify the first two razors as a success story. Sure the felt and looked cheap but the worked well enough, each having some redeeming quality to them. Enter razor number 3. Razors on the Cheap – Discount DE Razor Review 2

A few weeks back I started a new segment here on TheCloseShave taking a look at discount razors. My goal – to find out how a razor costing me a couple of bucks would perform for no other reason than curiosity. My first discount razor wasn’t terrible. The experience with my second discount razor (a twist to open) was, for just over two U.S. dollar, I would have to say was better than good.

This is the first, in what will become a regular feature here on TheCloseShave.com, of low cost razor that I will be reviewing – not so much for the sake of science, but curiosity. Can an ultra cheap razor compete in any way with the higher cost typical razors that people tend to buy (Razors like the Edwin Jagger 89, or a Merkur 23c)?
